NUL BCOMM ASSOCIATION

WHAT IS NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF LESOTHO BACHELOR OF COMMERCE STUDENT ASSOCIATION (NUL BCOMM ASSOCIATION)?

 

It is the student association which aims at uniting the BComm students with the understanding that they are bound by their common pursuit to succeed together, to meet challenges head on with the aim of being triumphant, ensuring that all members understand their respective roles to play.  Providing a forum for academic debate on campus and elsewhere, with members and non members, on issues of regional, national and international nature be it social, political, law and economic issues.

 

VISION

To become a leading and highly recognized academic student association in the university (N.U.L.) responsive to its stakeholders’ needs, and recognized nationwide for its social responsibility.

 

MISSION

To provide a platform for business students, put theories into practice through profit oriented and community based projects while maintaining advancement and prowess, and promoting friendly relations among members, other academic associations and institutions. Furthermore, build alliances with both alumni and corporate bodies.

 

THE VALUE OF THE ASSOCIATION TO ITS MEMBERS

Members revealed the following as what they gain and expect to gain from the entity;

Team working skills – which are increasingly becoming necessary to work with diverse individuals in modern business.

To get a deeper knowledge of the programme one is pursuing so as to gain knowledge and increase class room participation.

To improve curriculum vitae.

The association serves as a platform for idea generation and hence an entrepreneur “factory.”

To practice learned theories in real world situations.

To learn decision making skills when engaging in activities that will be required latter on in the workplace or business.

To help the community.

To enhance interpersonal skills and open a platform for networking.

To give a voice to its members.

To improve classroom relations between all BComm students.

To learn how to; manage time, refrain from past mistakes, and become transparent and accountable in activities.

Members believe that the behaviour they display is likely to be reflected in future.
