LECTURER/SENIOR LECTURER IN BIOLOGY EDUCATION
FACULTY OF EDUCATION
DEPARTMENT OF SCIENCE EDUCATION
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
A candidate must hold a PhD degree in Biology Education and have a Biology teaching experience at high school level or tertiary Biology teacher education experience. Experience of supervising at post graduate level will be an added advantage. In addition, the incumbent must have relevant research experience and a discernible potential/capacity to initiate projects and activities relevant to the teaching and learning of Biology. Knowledge of learning management system will be an added advantage.
Critical Duties:
- Teaching Biology Education courses at both undergraduate and post – graduate levels,
- Supervising students’ research projects,
- Supervising students during Teaching Practice,
- Conducting research and engaging in relevant Biology education community activities
- Performing any other duties that promote and develop the Science Education Department or the Faculty of Education as may be assigned from time to time.

Employment type
Permanent and pensionable/gratuitable terms for Locals, and three/four years’ Contract/gratuitable for Non-locals with a possibility of renewal.
