 Mr. Molungoa Sello is registered with the Lesotho Medical, Dental and Pharmacy Council as a Pharmacist. I am currently the head of pharmacy department; and a pharmacology and therapeutics lecturer. My research interests are the clinical management of chronic Infectious diseases (HIV/AIDS and TB); and Non-Communicable diseases prevalent in southern Africa (Hypertension, Diabetes mellitus, Asthma, COPD, Cancers).

 Ms. Lineo Maja is a senior lecturer and practicing pharmacist registered with the Lesotho Medical, Dental and Pharmacy Council as a Pharmacist. I am currently a tutor in the Faculty of Health Sciences. I am also a pharmacy practice and pharmacy management lecturer in the Department of Pharmacy.

My research interests include: non-communicable disease prevention, management and control at primary healthcare level in sub-Saharan countries; Medicines Use Review and Prescription Interventions in patients with chronic disease; and Pharmacovigilance.

 Mr. Oriel K. Hlokoane is registered with the Lesotho Medical, Dental and Pharmacy Council as a Pharmacist. He is currently a medicinal chemistry lecturer in department of pharmacy, faculty of health sciences, NUL. His research interests are to isolate and characterize bioactive compounds from the flora of Lesotho, towards discovery of new antibiotics that exhibit good activities against clinically –isolated strains of resistant bacteria.

 Mopa A. Sooro is a lecturer at the National University of Lesotho, in the department of Pharmacy, Faculty of Health Science. She is registered with the Lesotho Medical, Dental and Pharmacy Council as a Pharmacologist and an active member of the Pharmaceutical Society of Lesotho. She is the member of the NUL Institutional Research Board (IRB).

Her research interests are in evidence based complementary and alternative medicine in cancer and autophagy in cancer therapeutics.

 Mr. Rasemoko Polile is registered with the Lesotho Medical, Dental and Pharmacy Council as a Pharmacist. I am currently working as a laboratory demonstrator in the department of Pharmacy. I am currently on staff development leave for pursuing MSc in Neuroscience in North-West University.

My research interests are on

  • Neurophysiological effects of medicinal plants on serotonin and norepinephrine system in the rats’ brain using fluoxetine animal model of depression in rats
  • Neurophysiological correlates of neuropeptides effects on the brain and mental processing of emotions using multimodal imaging (EEG and FMRI)
  • Electrophysiological impact of cannabis plant methanol extract on the dopamine and acetylcholine systems in the rat brain; altered activity of neural circuit in the brain to gain understanding in dimension disease mechanism’’
